This is an international competition, and everyone is encouraged to participate. A group exhibition of all entrants will be held online at the Contemporary Art Gallery Online beginning August 5th and ending January 5th 2027. Competition submissions are accepted beginning July 1 and close at midnight July 31st.
Artists should submit their best representational and non-representational art related to the Water/Seascape" theme. The “Water/Seascape” theme is considered to be any art that depicts scenes of coastal living, ocean activities, seaside vistas, any related seashore subjects, and any type of body of water (ie. lakes, rivers, oceans, ponds, streams, etc.). The theme extends to anything water. Such as rain, drippy faucets, icebergs, etc. If the theme or major component of your piece is "Water," it satisfies the theme requirement.
This competition will be judged within three categories: Paintings/Drawings, Photography/Digital Art, Mixed Media, and 3 Dimensional Work. Computer-enhanced or AI-created art must be disclosed and will not be eligible for the Paintings/Drawing category. Competition results will be announced on August 25th, 2026. Awards will be given to the top 6 to 8 works selected in each category (depending on the number of submissions), including Best in Show, Judges’ Choice, and Gallery Choice. Additional awards will also be presented, depending on the number and
the quality of all submissions received. Award-winning artists will be included in a group show both online and in the Ramsey Art Gallery located in the Historic District of Hollins Market, located in Baltimore, Maryland.
