The Prototype was formed in 1998 in Ottawa. The band has released two CD's, "No Possible Way" ('99) and "Not Too Far To Go" ('01). The band has received great reviews for both CD's and the first single from Not Too Far To Go, "NPW Remix", has been added to regular rotation at 101.1 XFM in Ottawa, with national radio play to follow in the fall. Over the last two years, The Prototype has been fortunate enough to share the stage with bands such as Nickelback, Headstrong, Clarknova, Barstool Prophets, Headstones, J. Englishman and more. This summer (2002), The Prototype can be seen on the Vans Warped Tour in Barrie, Canada, and two songs, "NPW Remix" and "Head" are being used in Pontiac car ads on US commercial radio.
