Absolute Musicians was set up by three classically trained musicians, two of whom have made their living from music for the past 15 years. Originally conceived as a forum for young talented musicians, its function was defined when it became clear that there was a more useful service that we could provide.
As people with extensive contacts amongst musicians in all fields, we found that we were regularly asked by friends and relatives all over the country for practical advice on matters musical (ie. Where can I find a decent church organist in my area? How much should we be paying for a dance-band? What music can I have for my wedding reception?). As many people as we knew, the answers were not always at our fingertips, and so we have spent over a year expanding our network of musicians, and displaying them in a way that provides as much relevant information as possible.
The aim of Absolute Musicians is to make it possible to choose your own musicians or bands through the use of sound demos, photos and biographies, to enable you to make a more informed choice. In addition you have the confidence of knowing that all of our musicians are experienced professionals, who have been hand picked by us. Furthermore, if we do not have a band who meet your requirements we will endeavour to find one.
