I'm an Italian painter. I work almost exclusively to thematic exhibition projects, since two years with Silvia Ginocchietti with which I realized the two late exhibitions titled "The soul harmonies" (2000) and "Histoire des visages" (2001). My pictorial language born from a conception that to make art is to make culture.
I conceived all my paintings like a personal interpretation of fifteenth and sexteenth-century themes. Primary purpose of my work is to take back the people to look at painting, to enjoy the pleasure of painting with the eyes of our time. That what I mean is to suggest a sort of didactic journey through the history of art, especially that of European Renaissance, which can to teach us to know and to make deeper our own culture. And the through to do that is to come back to make art with ancient techniques (painter is a craftsman) even if with an actual point of view./ |
